With just over 60 hours at the time of writing this post to go, we’re really into the last part before the final stretch for our Kickstarter for Dungeon Saga.

So, I thought I’d put together some information to help answer the questions that I’ve had over the last few days, and maybe get a few of you off the fence and pledging, because I really don’t want you to miss out.

1. Why are you saying it’ll take a year to sculpt?  You’ve been showing off figures since the Open Day!
   It’s true, we’ve had some of the figures since the open day, but we’ve added a lot of stuff that we’ve got the sketches for.  They need sculpted, then there’s tooling, and then shipping, quality assurance… While we’d love to give it to you the day after the Kickstarter, believe me when I say that we’re only saying a year to ensure we get everything spot on and to give us a bit of space, just in case something needs adjusted.
   The year timeline is an estimate too – we’ll keep you all in the loop as we meet major milestones of course, that’s what Kickstarter messages are for!
2. I’m a retailer, how do I get involved or I don’t want to pledge for the main game, I just want a couple of things….?
   Message us and let us know about your store, then pledge into the $500 pledge.  We’ll get back in touch with you, and one of our team will look after you.  If you ‘only’ want add-ons, you’re welcome to pledge a dollar and grab whatever you’d like.  And you can grab add-ons along with your normal pledge too.  We’re very flexible
3. Do the add-ons come in the $100 pledge?
   No.  Add-ons are extras you can add, whether you’ve pledged a dollar or $100.  Some items are included in with the Dungeon Master pledge and are elements that marry up with the expansions, but if you’d like an add-on, you have to increase your pledge.
4. I want (XYZ).
   It’s great you’re so invested in the project that you’re making suggestions and hopefully we’ll be able to make them, but don’t be disappointed if they don’t appear.  We’re taking a lot of the fan feedback into account and seeing what we can do so keep watching!
5. When do I get charged?
   You’ll be charged sometime after the 31st of August, via the system on Kickstarter.  We’ll then provide a pledge manager for you to order everything that you’ve decided on, including expansions.
6. Is this like Dwarf King’s Hold?
   Yes, and no.  Dwarf King’s Hold is an epic game (and has it’s own place in Dungeon Saga too!) but Dungeon Saga is something that’s a bit different.  There are more elements, a hero mechanic, more focus on epic, legendary play… more everything really. Jake’s done an amazing job of summing up a lot of the questions around this on Quirkworthy too. It’s a lot of fun!
