Warzone Resurrection Army Spotlight: Sander Konings
Sander is one of the fine Crusaders here at Prodos Games. Having discovered our range of fantastic miniatures at Crisis in Antwerp last year, Sander and two of his friends decided to start playing Mutant Chronicles: Warzone Resurrection. Sander loved the gritty, mechanical feel of the Cybertronic Corporation so he started collecting them. After playing a few games, he decided that he loved the game so much, he wanted to join the Crusaders and be one of our demo representatives in The Netherlands!
Before Warzone Resurrection, Sander had not come across the Mutant Chronicles franchise. He explains to us that he chose the colour scheme that he felt fitted the miniatures and did not worry about any prior colour schemes that past renditions may have suggested are true to the fiction. It’s important to note that Warzone Resurrection is much more open and there is really no such thing as ‘the wrong colour scheme’. Sander was inspired by the aesthetics of The Immortal, figuring he looks like ‘Megaman on Steroids’, so painted him and the rest of his army in a similar colour scheme.
As you can see, Sander has not bee scared to show off the wonderful detail on our figures. He’s used to clean, neat painting and a few selected highlights to really make the models pop. This particular model, The Immortal, is what drew him to the game.
The Attila Exterminateur is part of the Cybertronic Starter Box, also available separately, it is a dominating figure indeed. With sharp, chunky features and clearly defined details, this model is an absolute joy to paint. Sander has gone for a rough and ready look on this particular model. In the game, this model is an absolute beast! With it’s high level of resilience and even higher level of firepower, the Exterminateur graces pretty much every tabletop upon which Cybertronic are playing. Remember, the full rules and fiction for this particular model are available for free from our website in the Heroes of the Solar System document!
These wonderful guys are the Standard Infantrymen of Cybertronic. With little armour, beyond their subdermal plates, they are able to manouvre around the battlefield with haste, popping off enemies and throwing down firepower where it is needed the most. Again, Sander has painted these up to fit with his blue colour scheme, but took the opportunity to pick out some details, such as the glowing weapons and the wires on their heads.
So what is next? Well, Sander kindly sent us in a picture of his current work in progress, one of the Enhanced Machinators!
So thanks to Sander for entering these awesome photographs! If you have any cool imagery to share of your projects, please let us know by emailing [email protected]. We would love to feature you on Instagram, Twitter, or even here on Gamewire!
