Today we’ve had an excellent army come in from Kai, who decided, when the entire range hit Slayer Gaming in Mansfield Woodhouse, that he would buy and paint an entire army of Dark Legion in a month. Next month, he assure us, he will have some Cybertronic to show off!

As you can see from the images, he has created a striking colour scheme that is reminiscent of bruises and oozy, gangrenous wounds…  The Praetorian Behemoth is a beast to be feared. One of the largest miniatures in the Dark Legion army, it makes a fantastic centrepiece. Furthermore, it is truly excellent in the game, being able to pick up pieces of rubble off the the battlefield and throw them at his enemies. See that grenade he is carrying? It is essentially a bin-sized steel container, filled with thick, black, toxic chemicals…

The Necrobeast riders are Centurion level Necromutants, with a malign intelligence and horrific ability to control their savage mounts. 

Kai has chosen the Alakhai Warlord Golgotha to leader his army. Known throughout the universe as ‘The Mistress of Pain’, Golgotha is a terrifying creature to face. She can activate her mirror, blinking in and out of existence across the battlefield, until the enemy is in the clutches of her cruel necrotechnological claws…

Necromutant Squad commanders are the leaders of Undead Legionnaire squads, giving them some level of intelligence to perform advanced, at least for a zombie, actions in the game. Another of Kai’s Necromutant Squad Commanders leading a squad of Undead Legionnaires. As the battle rages on, in close combat, Kai prefers to use the insidious Black Liquid Injector to turn his enemies’ models into Undead Legionnaires to help swell the ranks of his army.
