Warzone Resurrection Army Spotlight: Bauhaus
We had a fantastic submission not long ago from the Studio painter ‘Hortwerth’. He chose the Bauhaus Corporation at Essen Spiel 2014 after falling in love with the dynamic, heavy set poses and Prussian styling of the faction. Since then, he has painted all of these figures and more in less than 5 days…
Max Steiner is Hortwerth’s Warlord. A fantastically characterful miniature, bracing his Deathlockdrum as he unleashes a rain of death on his enemies. Max is one of the Cartel’s Doomtroopers and thus, can also be used in a Brotherhood army.
The Bauhaus Hussars are the basic foot-troops of the army, making up the bulk of the corporation’s military might. However, due to endless battlefield training, the Hussars are some of the most well prepared troops in the universe. In the game, they rarely lose their special weapons (of which they can choose, up to 1 per 5 models, either a Light Machine Gun or Rocket Launcher) and they have also got a slightly better Range Skill than most other Infantry types in the game.
The Etoiles Mortants (or Dying Stars, if translated) are agile and terrifying fighters. Able to appear as if from nowhere, they rain death by blade and by the illustrious Gehenna Puker flamethrower in equal measure. Hortwerth made a good decision by adding these to his shopping list!
Vulkan Battlesuits are affordable and incredibly effective in games of Warzone Resurrection. They form the iron fist (quite literally) of many a Bauhaus army. Hortwerth has gone for 3, simply because they look fantastic as a group. He has even magnetized the weapons so that you can swap between a pair of Hydraulic-Powered Fists, or a Flamethrower and Light Machine Gun.
This miniature was released at Essen Spiel and has quickly become a fan-favourite. Based on the excellent artwork of Paul Bonner, you can assemble this miniature in a couple of different ways. This model can either lead your entire army or it can upgrade Hussars to give them a host of different abilities. As you can see, with a great paintjob, this model shines even more.
The Armoured Hussars, or ‘Juggernauts’ as they are better known are rock-solid infantry. They are able to pound their way through solid walls and engage their foe, punching them into submission. When a heavy-set assault is not what you need, they also sport a combination of Machine Gun and Flamethrower which both turn them into truly horrific killing machines. A fine choice indeed, if not one that uses up a lot of points. When playing Warzone Resurrection, use with care and they will really perform!
A closing shot of the whole army so far. Truly awesome stuff!
