Whether you come from a competitive or casual gaming background, Fantasy Battles: The 9th Age will scratch that dice rolling itch. Not only is this a game in which you can immerse yourself on the table top, it is a game driven by a community of artists, writers and hobbyists who allow this game to thrive in both the casual and competitive scenes.

At the heart of the latter is the European Team Championship Tournament (ETC) which runs from the 3rd to the 7th of August 2016. There will also be the Fantasy Battles: The 9th Age Masters tournament held in November. The 9th Age tournaments will also be heavily present in the US; members of the The 9th Age community have recently re-established the US Masters, and will be represented in 8 regions by the Regional Masters Representatives. With multiple local tournaments being held in various countries there is likely to be a day of tournament action closer than you think. Along with the event support this community provides, they have also released two very handy tools which can be found here. This not only includes useful tactics to employ on the battlefield, but also guides and templates to set up your own local competition or grand tournament.

The rules team has also started several surveys on the 9th Age forum, where you, the community, can vote what characteristics should define the different armies in the game. If you want to help the rules team decide in which direction to take the factions of 9th Age, then vote before the surveys close!
