The only skirmish with superheroes in WW II

Yashamaru_unlockedWe’re glad to announce that War of Wonders Kickstarter unlocked its first stretch goal last week! It means Limana Press will be able to produce Yashamaru, the first Japanese special character of this new skirmish wargame.

Yes, it’s set in WW II like some other miniature games out there, but unlike them it has superheroes, which are called Meta-Humans in this original setting. Inspired by Golden Age comics, this wargame brings to your table superpowered beings, advanced technologies and arcane magics. If you ever wonderer how would be like punching Nazis faces with someone as strong as Hulk, or burning them down with a snap of fingers, War of Wonders Miniature Game gives you that chance. Of course the Nazis wouldn’t just stand there and watch, since they have their own Meta-Humans, and your opponent would probably deploy them to give you a hard time.

So it’s just another game with superheroes? Once again the answer is no! War of Wonders is based on a vivid, detailed alternate-History setting, where WW II is fought by Meta-Humans and regular troops alike (but also some special ones). You will usually deploy just a small number of Meta-Humans in your games, they will be the leaders of your small army or of little squads. They might be outstanding, but not invulnerable! You have to protect them and make sure they can do their job when the time comes, because a good burst of a nasty machine gun can easily split them in two and then you’ve just lost a very valuable piece.

You can discover this unique setting and the most valiant Meta-Humans on War of Wonders website, where Limana Press is publishing their fictions, background stories and the alternate time line of the most relevant facts. US, German, British and Japanese factions are already described, more are on the way. They all have their special squads of superheroes, and every Meta-Human has a story to tell.

Support the Kickstarter today and take home the only skirmish game that takes superheroes to WW II.
