The Spriggans have been released!

Spriggans are robbers by nature, they love nothing better than to steal and horde pretty things. By day they are small and largely harmless, maybe taking little trinkets from unattended houses and careless wanderers, but at night they have the curious ability to inflate themselves to …many times their original size and walk as giants among the hills, preying on those foolish enough to be out after dark and stealing from remote homesteads.

Spriggans stash their treasures and make their homes in hollows under great boulders which they can only shift in giant form. If they fail to return home before sunrise when they start to shrink they will find themselves unable to move these stones and must remain above ground all day. Even worse, if they open the hollow and are prevented from shutting it before sunrise their horde is left vulnerable until nightfall. Spriggans are very wary of the passing of time and are not easily outwitted but clever Mortals and Folk can get rich quickly if they are able to lead the Spriggans on a merry dance until sun up.
