This stunning figure was painted by Alex Robins a talented 13-year-old currently on loan from his parent. Alex’s dad is Paul Robins an ex GW factory manager and Golden Demon winner. Judging by the standard of his Napoleon (shown below), clearly, the apple has not fallen far from the tree! We were so impressed with Alex’s talent that he has spent a few weeks working in our design studio learning all he can from our four in-house painters…
Airfix
Our glorious leader went to Stockton-On-Tees (which is far, far away) bidding at an Airfix kit auction and picking up some lovely art but then he spotted this fellow. Having read all that is available about Airfix kits past and present, he was amazed to see this 1/12th scale French foreign legionnaire.
It was assembled and painted and was, in fact, the master model Marquette to show a kit that was planned but never released. An awesome addition to a man’s Airfix collection! Some facial damage to the paint mind you, he has been in the sun for 40 years!!
