MASSIVE AWESOME is excited to announce the launch of the Kickstarter campaign for their tabletop skirmish game SHATTERED EARTH, an original post-apocalyptic world filled with wondrous technology and existential horror.

Earth, 50 years from now. An unprecedented series of seismic events, gigantic earthquakes, and terrifying volcanic eruptions have reformed the continents into new, unrecognizable shapes. Within a few years, the world became unrecognizable, the continents torn apart and altered in a way that meant life for its remaining inhabitants had irrevocably changed.

As humanity’s survivors form new alliances and fight over scant resources, they must harness the power of Ether, a mysterious and frightening new energy source bleeding into our world from the realm of dreams and nightmares. And they must also deal with the abominations that follow in its wake.

Each player will field around 15 highly-detailed 32mm miniatures in dynamic skirmish battles, using story-driven scenarios that form part of the larger narrative in this epic saga of mankind’s survival amidst warring factions and terrifying monstrosities.

Gameplay is fast and dynamic, with an innovative shared resource pool and a streamlined dice mechanic that allows for deep strategic play with crunchy tactical options while being easy to learn.

Over the past 6 months, Massive Awesome has presented a substantial amount of art and over a dozen highly detailed resin figures that have produced acclaim and excitement in the gaming community. Now has come the time to turn to crowd-funding to mass produce the range of models and create a beautiful hardback rulebook to round out the Shattered Earth universe.
