Vital rivers of natural power known as ley lines flow beneath the face Caen. Many of Western Immoren’s greatest forces tap into these rivers to empower their armies in their unique conquests. These forces range from organizations as primal and ancient as the enigmatic Circle of Orboros to more recent threats such as the cold and calculating Convergence of Cyriss.

As war ravages the land, these ley lines have either been tapped into by the armies of Western Immoren or polluted by their machinations with greater frequency than ever before. The damage done to these arcane rivers of power should be healing … but in many locations it is not.

The recent rise in draconic activity has led to an unprecedented increase in blight spread across Western Immoren. In times past the ley lines would repair themselves, but now they only leave scars of blighted energy behind.

You have discovered the third location that has felt the corrupting touch of blight. High in the Rhulic mountains a once impregnable fortress, unintentionally built upon a ley line, has been transformed into a foul and death-filled ruin. Near the mountain’s peak, the air itself can be lethal to those foolish enough to climb to these blighted heights. Gather your troops and march into battle, befriend those that share your ideals and defeat those that would oppose you. Will you be an altruistic Purist, seeking to restore balance and harmony to this land, or will you be a selfish Opportunist, seeking only to further your own profits as the expense of others?
