REVIEW: A-CASE “VICTORY” by BrushStroke

Few months ago some said, that we should made some stress tests by dropping our case from table to a floor or “smashing” with a hammer. As usually the real life shows unpredictable scenarios. So here is the review of our Mate BrushStroke and his real story with A-case :

If you’ve been following me for any time you’ll know that I don’t do much product review… Or any at all 😛
But I do really want to show my new case off to you guys.
With Armies on Parade coming up, I was in need of a carry case for my minis and I’m also going to be taking the plunge into gaming finally too. So, I needed a case, but what to go for?
I wasn’t to keen on the sponge tray ones, as I had heard plenty of horror stories about spears and lances get caught and them generally being a pain to pack and unpack.
Then I found this one which is actually designed to carry magnetised minis!
As all my minis are already magnetised for my display trays, I figured why not give this a go?
And in short, it’s amazing. I love it.

It comes with three metal trays which pull out completely so you can simply stick your troops to the tray and slide the tray into the bag. At the other end you just pull the trays out and place them on the gaming table and start deploying. As they die (which I hear does happen in the game) you can just stick the minis back on the tray to carry to the next game table or slide the tray quickly back in the case to travel back home.
Sooooo simple and perfect 🙂

The case itself is superbly made and has a great sized pocket on the side which can easily hold a rule book, iPad, dice etc.

But just how safe does it keep the minis, you are no doubt asking?
Well, I was worried about that too, I won’t lie. I’d seen videos online of people testing it by rolling it around and dropping etc.
Was I going to do that with mine?
No. Not intentionally, anyway.
However, a couple of days after getting the case I happened to have it in the kitchen, with the intention of writing this post.
Long story short, my dancing daughter somehow managed to kick it across the room!!
Horror I thought… The air was blue.
With her dismissed to her room. I slowly unzipped the case, to find every mini where I had placed them. None had become detached from the trays or been bashed into each other.
I was so relieved and impressed.
