We also publish the bimonthly No Quarter Magazine™ and the Formula P3™ hobby tool and paint range in addition to the other products in our catalog. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The Social Media Coordinator is responsible for working under the Social Marketing Manager in executing the hands-on aspects of Privateer Press’ social media strategies and hands-on online audience engagement. This position requires a high degree of practical knowledge of diverse social media platforms and online community moderation practices. In some cases, travel to conventions for on-site social media coverage of Privateer Press events may be required.
Particular responsibilities may include the following, as directed by the Social Marketing Manager:

  • Day-to-day management of Privateer Press’ Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Pinterest, YouTube, and other social media platforms. This will include the curation of fan-created content.
  • Administration of the Privateer Press forums. This will include overseeing a team of volunteer forums moderators, escalation of forums issues by the moderation team, and personal engagement with forums posters relating to their questions and concerns with Privateer Press games and products.
  • Community and market research. The Social Media Coordinator will spend time reading and reporting on fan-sites, forums, and other sources of information pertinent to Privateer Press’ market and trends within that market.
  • Product review solicitation and review. The Social Media Coordinator will identify worthwhile reviewers of games and related products to be sent Privateer Press product for review. They will later review those submissions as they are published.
  • Fielding Customer Service inquiries made by audience members on social media.
  • Consumer advocacy. This position is responsible for identifying trends and concerns within the Privateer Press gaming community, determining which of those are significant, and then advocate for them within the company.
  • Identifying emergent social media platforms, apps, and related technologies that may be of use to Privateer Press.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to work in our Bellevue location
  • Strong familiarity with dominant social media platforms including Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and others
  • Familiarity with social media managements tools such as HootSuite
  • The ability to write in a “company voice”
  • A strong interest in social media technologies and understanding of online communities
  • Excellent skills in online community leadership and interpersonal relations
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Capable of working both individually and collaboratively
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Working familiarity with Macintosh/PC computers and common office software such as Word and Excel
  • Upbeat and positive attitude

  • Solid knowledge of all Privateer’s products and product lines
  • Able and willing to travel to conventions, industry trade shows, open houses, etc. in and outside the U.S.
  • Physically able to bend, stoop, climb, and crouch repeatedly while performing physical labor. In addition potential applicants must be able to stand and work on their feet for 8 hours a day when working conventions and trade shows 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Solid knowledge of how to play all Privateer’s games
  • Basic familiarity with Adobe Photoshop
  • Thorough understanding of social media analytics and reporting
