Job Description

The Project Manager (PM) is in charge of producing printed material to support Privateer Press’ product lines. Projects will include rulebooks, board and card games, packaging, inserts, and reference cards in addition to electronic support in the form of downloadable PDFs. The PM coordinates with the various facets of the Creative Development team (writing, editing, studio, graphic design, development, and licensing), vendors, and freelance contractors as well as our production and marketing departments to ensure on-time delivery of high quality products.

This is a full-time position in our Bellevue, WA office.

Responsibilities

  • Project Management – The PM is responsible for ushering projects along the entire production life cycle from concept to deployment. The PM will take original project concepts, build mockups, acquire approval, coordinate personnel, and deliver finished products on time.
  • Scheduling – The PM will work with the project management team to plan production schedules and will take every step necessary to ensure that projects complete on time to Privateer Press’ quality standards.
  • Analysis – The PM performs analysis on the projects under his/her care. This includes, but is not limited to, budgetary concerns, process improvements, file management and storage, and efficient workflow. The PM will also perform feasibility analysis on projects before they are approved for official production.
  • Resource coordination – The PM coordinates with the project management team and Director of Business to balance workload and schedules across the Creative Development department.
  • Reporting – The PM maintains records of production details on each project, and upon a project’s completion the PM will furnish a post mortem report for future analysis and improvement.

Preferred Skills and Proficiencies

  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite software (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Privateer Press product lines
  • College degree
  • Sense of humor, the ability to quote movies (good and bad), and a desire to produce the best games on the market today
