Insider 7-13-2015

Hello! My name is Chris, and I work in the Privateer Press production department as part of the team making all of our resin parts.

I have been playing WARMACHINE and HORDES for several years, starting with Cryx and then dabbling with Legion of Everblight before finding my true calling: the Convergence of Cyriss.

With a slow-grow league starting up at work recently, I took the chance of starting yet another army, this time the Protectorate of Menoth.

I have always been a big fan of Feora, Protector of the Flame. A Heavy Flamethrower, spells that add even more fire, and a feat that moves all that fire around—what’s not to love? The first two weeks of the league are played at 15 points, so I kept my starting list fairly straightforward:

Feora, Protector of the Flame
Devout
Reckoner
Vanquisher

I wanted to use an alternate paint scheme to match Feora’s “burn ’em all” play style. I based everything with Pig Iron, then I brushed thinned-down Khador Red Base mixed with a couple drops of Coal Black over the larger armor sections. Finally, I washed everything with a mix of Armor Wash and Red Ink. My goal was to create a sooty appearance, as though Feora’s warjacks have been through so much fire that the ash can no longer be fully washed from their armor. Here’s how it turned out.

As the league grows, I’m looking forward to adding a Judicator: Rocket Pods, Flame Throwers, and massive power in two Fists should allow me to crush any who dare oppose the True Law!
