Hi Everyone! My name is Michelle, and I am the Office Manager here at Privateer Press, where I’ve worked for three really great years. Every year I tell myself, I’m going to learn to play WARMACHINE and HORDES this year. I’m already a big supporter of our board games—Zombies Keep Out is a big hit at our family game nights at home (especially when I have enough Bite tokens to talk like a zombie).

But as each year flies by, Learn WARMACHINE and HORDES stays on my to-do list. But now…THIS IS MY YEAR! I was incredibly inspired by everything I saw at Lock & Load GameFest 2015. Our community comes together in such an amazing way and generates so much great energy and camaraderie. In fact, I was challenged by one of our players there to bring an army to Lock & Load 2016 and play some games. So, with that in mind, I’ve started my very first army: Cryx!

I am very excited to be a part of our office slow-grow, and I’ve got my first two games (ever!) planned for this week. I picked Cryx for two reasons: 1) we have a life-size Iron Lich Asphyxious in our office, and from where I sit, we pretty much see eye-to-eye (sometimes we have staring contests; he wins); and 2) I think the new Deneghra, the Soul Weaver model is AMAZING (it’s always good to have goals).

I am painting my models with Cryx Bane Base and a little Ironhull Grey, Pig Iron, Cold Steel, and a purple that is half Beaten Purple and half Murderous Magenta. I really like how it’s coming together, and now I can’t wait to paint up the rest of my army!
