In preparation for this week’s launch of the WARMACHINE: Tactics beta, Privateer Press Interactive debuted a redesigned website at warmachinetactics.com. If you can tear yourself away from playing Tactics, I highly recommend checking out the new site. You’ll find sneak peeks of upcoming factions and features there, and, of course, previews of warcasters and warjacks.

It was incredibly exciting to see the site evolve from sitemaps and wireframes into the finished product. As you can see, the site has come a long way from its humble beginnings.

As we were designing the site, we wanted a clean, slick interface that was easy to navigate but still showcased the fantastic imagery and raw power that are defining characteristics of WARMACHINE. I really love how the front page came together; it immediately presents you with the larger-than-life personalities of the warcasters and the hulking figures of their warjacks.

Every WARMACHINE faction has a distinctive color palette, so when we designed the backgrounds and bordering for the site, we chose colors that worked with the noble blues of Cygnar, the bold reds of Khador, the eerie greens of Cryx, and the sun-bleached yellows of the Protectorate of Menoth.

As WhiteMoon Dreams was delivering content for the site, I was always eager to see what characters would show up next. You, too, can look forward to seeing more upcoming releases in the carousel at the bottom of the front page.
