Insider 6-26-2015

My name is Justin, and I work customer support here at Privateer Press. I handle almost all your store orders. For my first Insider, I would like to share my Legion of Everblight army with you.

As you can see, I didn’t stick to the traditional paint scheme. To help me achieve this look, I primed my models white and then used an airbrush to create the gradient. Next, I painted the entire model with Meredius Blue. After it dried, I airbrushed the bottom two-thirds in Cygnar Blue Highlight. Then I applied Beaten Purple to the lower third. For my warbeasts, I used Bastion Grey on the spikes and spines.

This Scythean is my pride and joy. I hadn’t tried two-brush blending before, and this model was supposed to be a test to see how well I could apply the technique. It turned out much better than I could have hoped. Two-brush blending was pretty easy to learn, and I was surprised at how much better the model looks over the usual “basecoat, shade, and drybrush” style. It’s well worth the time spent painting.

At the moment, Kallus, Wrath of Everblight is my favorite warlock. He synergizes very well with all my infantry units. In the last few games I’ve played, my Blighted Ogrun Warspears have been an unstoppable force, destroying any warbeast, warjack, or warcaster that crosses their path.

If you want to see more models I have painted and converted, check out Iron Kingdoms Unleashed to see my Tharn warlock and his Warpwolf .

Thanks for taking the time to look at my awesome Legion of Everblight army.
