Insider 3-21-2014

Convention season is here! With TempleCon behind us, it’s time to look down the road to what’s next. AdeptiCon is only a few days away, and the anticipation is still building. AdeptiCon was my first major show, and it also takes place on my birthday, so it holds a special place in my heart.

This year we’re going to raise the bar even higher with, for the first time ever, an AdeptiCon Privateer Press store and prerelease models! The event space is bigger than ever this year, with even more events including High Command, which will give Privateer players the perfect amount of space for both casual and competitive play! It’s going to be an absolutely amazing weekend, full of games and good times, sharing the best of everything Privateer Press has to offer.

To get prepared for this event I needed strong army to fight off players in the Iron Arena area. A few months ago I painted a Cryx holiday bundle in my quest to find a new faction and couldn’t resist the call of Toruk. With so many great looking models to paint for the tabletop, there was too much to choose from. I picked up my brush and began waylaying into the faction. There were just too many models to choose from that I wanted to paint. I had this urge to complete the entire faction in as little time as possible. To do this I have taken on the painting challenge of painting 365 models in a single year! I started my holiday bundle back in December, but didn’t decide to take on the challenge until January, so I couldn’t count those models. Since starting in January I needed to average about 31 models per month to stay on target. I cleared the 100 model mark during the first week of March and am well on my way to the 365 line. To highlight a few of what is being painted, here is a small preview of what I’m going to be dropping on the tables starting on April 3-6 at Adepticon!

So, come find me, and let’s get in a game! See you there!
