As anyone who listened to the November episode of the Privateer Press Primecast knows, Director of Business Development Will Shick promised to get me the starter for a Cryx army this holiday season. While I’m looking forward to serving the Dragonfather in the New Year, I still have an itch for a hobby project in the meantime. It’s a crazy time of year, and the new Alternate Battlegroup Bundles in this year’s holiday sale are just the right amount of models for me to test out a new scheme without losing too many hours to the hobby table.

With Cryx in the wings, I wanted to try something different. Something holiday themed, maybe…and that’s when I saw the Shadowhorn Satyr and knew what I had to do.

I had to have a Krampus.

What’s more festive than Santa’s evil counterpart throwing bad children in his drowning sack?! The Circle Orboros already has a strong tradition of kidnapping children as they undergo the Wilding, and that Shadowhorn could be suitably demonic with the right paintjob…

So, my models are in hand, my paints are ready, and before Christmas I will unleash Krampueger the Stormwrath’s battlegroup upon the people of western Immoren (and all of you, via a follow-up Insider).
