Insider 11-19-2014

As you’re leafing through the newest issue of No Quarter (#57), you may be surprised to see some familiar farrow in the Battle Report. (Rest assured that no one is more shocked by this than I am.) So, in honor of that surprise, I thought I’d do another pig’sider, this time on units!

For the Farrow Brigands, spiky pauldrons are all well and good for the Cryx and Khador aesthetics, but they aren’t really a Cygnar thing. So, those brigands that are to be painted blue get their spikes filed down to better match the Cygnaran look. The Protectorate piggies get a little extra love with some modified shoulder pads too, and the Protectorate-themed leader gets a little custom staff (because apparently I like to play favorites).

The Slaughterhousers get converted polearms liberated from across the factions of WARMACHINE. Stormguards, Houseguards, Steelheads, Bane Knights—none are safe from the greedy hands of the farrow! The unit leaders get a little something special for their weapons: one gets the Stormguard sergeant’s voltaic weapon, and I give another a Man-O-War axe to strap on top of his already existing poleaxe, because that’s the kind of over-the-top modification the farrow would fully get behind.

None of these modifications are super-elaborate, but they’re just enough to give the units that ragtag multi-faction look!
