Imagine 3D Miniatures and Mounted Heroes in the media

What online media think about Mounted Heroes

Imagine 3D Miniatures began working on Mounted Heroes – 3D printed custom fantasy miniatures – a year ago. After months of preparation and 3D modeling, last March we finally launched our website and the miniature creator – beta version – and joined the different social media networks to connect with our audience. We immediately received support from miniatures enthusiasts and boardgamers, and today we have almost 1000 fans on Facebook and more than 200 followers on Twitter.

On April, Fabbaloo – which publishes daily news about 3D printing technology – posted an article about Imagine 3D Miniatures which began saying:

“Did you know there’s a service where you can customize 3D printable gaming miniatures? This service is Imagine 3D Miniatures, and it’s sole purpose is to provide a way to generate some very detailed 3D models of Humans, Orcs or Mounts.”

We also appeared on different news websites when we announced Mounted Heroes Kickstarter is coming on May 20.

Wargaming news website Beasts of War, published an article about us which informed“Imagine 3D Miniatures is looking to head to Kickstarter soon to raise money for their service which will provide 3D Mounted Heroes for your Fantasy wargaming. The campaign will launch later this month on May 20, so keep an eye out if this catches your eye.”

Peter Harrison from Talk Wargaming said “Imagine 3D Miniatures hands over control to you with their Mounted Heroes project. With this you get to create your own miniature and have it printed up to your specs.“ And he added “Think of it as a character creation screen from an RPG that has a physical mini as an end result.”

Last week, after we announced the Kickstarter for May 20, Tabletop Gaming News included Mounted Heroes among Friday Snippets showing the picture of the custom, 3D printed painted dragon that you can already find on our web and social networks.

And not only wargames, boardgames, RPG and miniatures webpages got interested onMounted Heroes. One of the articles we have loved most has been published on 3D Printing Industry, a web dedicated to 3D printed content that has seen on our project a different view about the uses you can give to this printing technique:

“When 3D printing exploded onto the scene a few years ago, the first thing that really should have been said – before all that was said about the serious difference it would make to prototyping, manufacturing, and production – is “Now we can make whatever toys we want.” At least for kids, the desire to do that is probably up there with wanting to be a superhero. For those who still carry their ‘inner child’ with them, and those who enjoy fantasy gaming with its immersive worlds and characters, 3D printing has given a new way to indulge your imagination. Print your own heroes. And their mounts too!”
