Like many corporations in the year 2305, FerrumSky Corp makes use of genetically modified laborers who are purpose bred to carry out specific tasks. Often running large pieces of equipment will require a crew to perform. In an effort to create cost savings, corporations will replace that crew with a single brute who has been engineered to perform the task all on their own. Gen-Mods are high maintenance, so it is not cost effective to replace the entire labor force in this way. Gen-Mods are fed a steady diet of steroids and drugs so that they can function at optimal performance doing the work or 3 or more people for 16+ hour shifts. The majority of these drugs are administered through their breather. Monitors ensure the Gen-Mod performs at their peak, and if their heart were to stop, a chest mounted adrenaline unit can administer a shot to restart it.

Trest is a Breaker, a Tracted worker who has chosen to throw off his shackles and turn on his overseers, the Prods. As a Gen-Mod Brute, he is a man genetically engineered to be able to lift equipment that a single ordinary human cannot. In the game he can split an opponent in two with a single swing, but the massive rock saw he wields can easily be dodged giving the quick and agile an advantage over him.
