The Bounty Hunter – Icarus Miniatures Preview Gabriel Cross

Happy Sunday wargamers!

Icarus Miniatures here with another concept art preview for our upcoming sci-fi skirmish game, The Icarus Project, to show off today. This time, we’re looking at one of the most famous bounty hunters in the known galaxy, Gabriel Cross.

Bounty Hunter, Mercenary, Hero, Criminal.

All these are words used to describe one of the most renown men in the galaxy, Gabriel Cross.

Gabriel is famous both for his skill, and the fact that he routinely picks up jobs to bring criminals to justice.

While he and his crew may not be able to be called “good guys”, they’re better than most mercenaries in the galaxy.

Gabriel is a former Galactic Marine who served during the Second Nexus War, alongside his squad, The Immortals; one of the most decorated marine squads of the war. The renown he gained during the war, along with his turn from the Alliance, helped to increase his notoriety among the criminal ranks.

Gabriel Cross wears a modified set of Galactic Marine armour that he has fitted with an experimental system A.I, Prometheus. Gabriel uses this artificial intelligence to manage some of the suits more advanced systems, such as pain relief if he is wounded, and environmental controls, should he find himself underwater or in open space.”

This is another fantastic piece by our terrific artist, Daniel Comerci. I love the various details that Daniel has put into this concept. I love the information displayed on the visor, and wrist device. I also like that you can see some of the underlying Alliance tech that Gabriel’s suit is based on. Particularly in the knees and chest design, you can see that his armour started life as Alliance armour. It might even be his original Galactic Marine uniform.
