The Drowned Earth Miniatures game just went live on Kickstarter!

With four crews of beautifully sculpted, colourful characters to choose from, and some exciting looking faction neutral dino miniatures as unlocks, The Drowned Earth war game is looking pretty exciting!

Plus, every backer, even at the £2 pledge level, gets a free “micro-RPG” rules set in PDF form, so you can roleplay your way in to The Drowned Earth universe. What a nice touch!

There are also some rather interesting social stretch goals, such as short fiction, a PDF map of the world and more.

The guys at TDE have also got some pretty exciting ideas planned to keep people entertained during the campaign

• Live sculpting and painting with the studio painter and one of the sculptors.
• Livestreamed games.
• A writing competition, the winner of which will have their contribution featured on the website.

Perhaps most excitingly of all, an intriguing “choose your own adventurer” narrative event, where backers will have the chance to contribute to a narrative which will decide the characteristics of an actual model which will be sculpted and made available! Cool!

This Kickstarter is unusual both in the standard of what’s on offer, and the level of polish for an independent production.
