One of the greatest joys of running the Broken Contract Kickstarter last year was providing the option to be inserted into the game, and having someone who believed enough in the project to make that sort of investment. I introduce to you, Ash Walker. Ash Walker was a collaboration between myself and Kickstarter Backer @AdamW and it’s been a long time in the making. We fleshed out his background back in the summer/fall of 2015, but the artist he wanted to do the art was tied up. Just recently, Filip Dudek and I renewed working together and over the last week we did the traditional back and forth of alterations until we got it right. I think we’re all pleased with the results!

I’m going to save the background and rules for the Broken Contract Design Blog, but I will say that Ash Walker is “Unaffiliated” with a Faction, meaning that he is contracted to Black Squadron Security, but does not feel affinity for many of his peers or the organization, so he can support whomever he feels most aligned with. I feel like this is going to make him great fun in multiplayer games.

To coincide with our newer multipart models I asked Fil to do a variant of the art with a brand new alternate weapon and head so that I can send them both over to the sculptors. We’re looking forward to seeing Ash Walker in model form later this year. In the meantime, we hope you like the art!
