The Marketing Manager is a key member of the Privateer Press Marketing Division whose primary role is the creation of marketing copy for Privateer Press’ various advertising, product lines, and public relations. In addition, the Marketing Manager oversees the administrative and day-to-day managing of the staff members who comprise the Marketing Division and acts as a liaison between the Marketing Division, the Privateer Press Leadership team, and the Project Management team to ensure all marketing projects are briefed with Project Management and completed on schedule.

Job Description
The Marketing Manager is a key member of the Privateer Press Marketing Division whose primary role is the creation of marketing copy for Privateer Press’ various advertising, product lines, and public relations. In addition, the Marketing Manager oversees the administrative and day-to-day managing of the staff members who comprise the Marketing Division and acts as a liaison between the Marketing Division, the Privateer Press Leadership team, and the Project Management team to ensure all marketing projects are briefed with Project Management and completed on schedule.
Duties Include:
- Write or oversee all copywriting for advertising, website, sales documents, news items, press releases, product solicitations, and product packaging.
- Manage and oversee administrative and day-to-day needs of the Privateer Press Marketing Division.
- Coordinate all ad buys, including rate negotiations and time durations.
- Maintain and evaluate an advertising calendar that schedules print, Web, and other advertising efforts at the direction of the Chief Creative Officer.
- Collaborate and coordinate with customer service and community administrators to maintain visibility over consumer feedback (retailers and players) and community health.
- Coordinate with Social Media Team on developing, utilizing, and expanding social marketing initiatives, including Privateer Press’ forums, Facebook, and Twitter.
- Coordinate with the Organized Play Developer to ensure proper marketing and promotion of various Organized Play programs.
- Coordinate with Conventions team to create promotional materials for and advise on convention appearances and other public activities.
Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Management experience — must have prior experience managing teams of at least 4 people or larger
- Excellent customer service skills
- Solid knowledge of all Privateer’s products and product lines
- Solid knowledge of how to play all Privateer’s games
- Highly organized
- Able to pay attention to detail
- Strong work ethic and positive attitude
- Must be action oriented and able to complete tasks quickly
- Able to multitask
- Able to work alone, as well as with others and other departments
- Computer and software (Word, Excel) skills
- Able and willing to travel to conventions, industry trade shows, open houses, etc., in and outside the U.S.
