Pike & Shotte Infantry Focus: Pike
The Pike was one of the key weapons of the Pike & Shotte era – a long pole weapon wielded by foot soldiers, the Pike was effective not only against enemy infantry, but also proved particularly potent when facing enemy cavalry. The sheer number of spearheads presented by a well-regimented Pike block would prove near-impenetrable and a welcome refuge for the attached musket wings!
