Spotlight: Bauhaus Etoiles Mortant

In the Lore:

Formed as part of the Bauhaus Ministry of Faith’s anti-Dark Legion program, the Etoiles Mortant or ‘Dying Stars’ are a joint force operated by both the Supreme Ministry of War and the Supreme Ministry of Light. Its members are chosen from those who have good reason to hate the Dark Legion and who are prepared to die to see the Darkness thrown back. The Dying Stars are primarily used as reconnaissance and sabotage units against the Dark Legion, but rumour has it that many work under cover, carrying out assassinations against highly placed Heretics within Bauhaus itself and other corporations.

On the Tabletop:

The Mortants are first and foremost a melee unit, and they are extremely good at it. If they turn to burn a resource card they may increase their rate of attack by two which gives them a total of four attacks in melee. Their weapons also disallow Heal checks which is really important to remember

Their Passive: They Came from Nowhere rule lets them rapid deploy using their full leadership value, which makes them very good at it. They can drop in flame their targets with their Gehenna Pukers then engage what is left in melee.

They are fearless which keeps them dangerous as they fight until the last model is killed.

They also have Contempt Dark Legion which allows them rerolls of missed hits against that faction.
