Woodinville, WA – Privateer Press has launched a Kickstarter for the “big box” board game version of their popular miniatures hobby game Riot Quest. The brand-new board game version includes preassembled plastic miniatures in multiple colors so up to four players can participate in the game’s riotous chaos as well as all the cards and tokens needed for up to four players to play a complete and compelling game right out of the box.

For players who already collect the original Riot Quest hobby game, the Kickstarter features multiple additions that expand the play environment, including the game’s next expansion, PE(s)TS, which contains six different Pet miniatures in four different colors for a four-player game. Additional components designed to appeal to both hobby game and board game enthusiasts will become available through successful stretch goal achievements, including unique Riot Gear cards and an opportunity for one lucky backer to design their own Riot Gear card for inclusion in the final game.

Both versions of the game are completely compatible with one another.

The Kickstarter is live now and ends April 14 at 5:00 p.m. PST.

Riot Quest is the fast-paced skirmish game in which players compete by battling their opponent’s team of scoundrels and racing for loot all over an arena map. The game allows players to customize their individual team members through Riot Gear cards that expand the combat capabilities of its owner, and a host of other elements combine to make the players field a deadly obstacle course with mad objectives that make every game different and engaging.

Riot Quest’s launch includes stretch goals and special bonuses for individual backers, and the Riot Quest Kickstarter also includes pledge rewards for retailers who would like to carry the board game in their stores, including an exclusive, customizable Riot Gear card for all retail pledges.
