Wow! That didn’t take long!

Ulaya Chronicles smashed its initial target of £6500 after just 23 minutes, and is now over 400% funded. I wonder where it’ll end up!

Of course this is Kickstarter, so that means a whole heap of stretch goals!

Not only has the cardstock and punchboard been upgraded with a linen finish, but there are several new scenarios, and new options for the miniatures. Some special “Alpha Sculpts” of the dinosaurs have been unlocked also.

Published by Olmec Games, the producer of The Drowned Earth miniatures game, these guys have an excellent reputation for their hand cast metal models, and no doubt these will be the same quality. But of course if you’re just interested in the game it is supplied with standees so you can play without minis just fine.

That makes this something of a hybrid game- lots of board game style mechanics drive the narrative and campaign, while its all underpinned by a traditional miniature wargame style, much like their original title.
