Sword & Sorcery Ancient Chronicles enters in its 2nd week on Kickstarter
The Kickstarter campaign to fund Ancient Chronicles, a completely new cycle for Sword & Sorcery game, entered in its second week with over $350,000 pledged (230% of the funding goal), more than 3,000 backers and 22 stretch goals unlocked. At this point, new contents has been added to the game, and Kickstarter rewards includes 96 figures, 400 cards, 23 Map Tiles and 12 Quests. The campaign was launched on November 5th, with an initial funding goal of $150,000, and will run until November 21, at 3 am CEST (1 am UTC/GMT).
Designed by Gremlin Project and manufactured and distributed by Ares Games, Sword & Sorcery is an epic-fantasy cooperative dungeon-crawler board game for up to five players who control heroes with unique powers, fighting together against the forces of evil – controlled by the game system itself – to save the kingdom and break the spell that binds their souls. The heroes are legendary characters brought back to life by powerful sorcery. Weakened by the resurrection, they grow stronger during their story-driven quests. By acquiring soul points during battles, the heroes’ souls regenerate, restoring their legendary status with multiple powers, magic and soul weapons, and powerful artifacts.
Ancient Chronicles will bring the Sword & Sorcery game, to a new level, introducing features to enhance the storytelling and broaden the scope of the adventures, a greater variety of enemies, and more possibilities for Heroes. It will be a new starting point to the game, suitable both for newcomers and for players who are already playing the Immortal Souls campaign, allowing them to enter the world of Sword & Sorcery again, in a campaign set in the distant past of the events narrated in the previous campaign. The new cycle will be fully compatible with “Immortal Souls” in terms of gameplay, allowing to crossover heroes and monsters from one campaign to another.
Ancient Chronicles project on Kickstarter presents a main pledge level called Legendary Hero, with a pledge of $120 and offering as rewards the Kickstarter Edition of Ancient Chronicles, the Kickstarter Bonus Set, the Challenge Set and all unlocked stretch goals. After the funding goal of $ 150,000 was achieved, the amount and value of rewards increased a lot: more than 30 bonus figures and new elements like Guilds, Allies, Familiars and Heroes’ Nemesis – enemies who are the dark side of Heroes, with skills and powers to match them.
Sword & Sorcery Ancient Chronicles is expected to ship to backers in December 2019, from Ares’ main warehouse in the USA and from secondary warehouses in Australia, Canada, Germany and Hong Kong, with no customs charges applying to backers in Australia, Canada, European Union, Hong Kong and USA.
