The Wargaming Collection – 3D STL Files – Kickstarter has been funded with 2 wks left

Despite the theories of Kickstarter campaigns experiencing “midway silence,” that is, no new pledges during Weeks 2 and 3, SimplePolytrix’s Wargaming Terrain campaign has been funded since August 2.  It shows continued support each day as the funds approach the first Stretch Goal:

The City Streets is a modular kit comprising of 7 pieces that can be reprinted to create an entire city structure.  The ends have universal dimples suitable for sinking magnets in for easy assembly and disassembly.  This kit will be included in the SimplePolytrix Collection should the total funds reach $2,500, which at the time of this article is less than $300 away.

Meanwhile, the second Stretch Goal has been revealed and given its unlock requirement of $3,500:

Similar to the style of being a modular kit, the Interior Facility provides 26 total pieces that can be printed to build limitless interior corridors and rooms.  The pieces range from floor paneling to half-walls and doors for easier access to the minis.  At $3,500, the kit will unlock and become a part of the SimplePolytrix Collection as well.

The sprint to the finish line of August 20th has begun, with building momentum and enthusiasm as the first two Stretch Goals are within sight.

And while the Kickstarter is running, SimplePolytrix has been working on the next big release:

Carrying trays for minis have been around for quite a while, but the issue comes with the sheer number of different size bases depending on the game you’re playing or the army you chose to build.  With 3D printing, that issue is eliminated by making it modular.  Seen above, the tray is around 16-17 inches in length and allows up to 4 plates to be placed inside.  Each plate ranges from varying base sizes, and depending on your army, can have specific plates printed that fits your needs.  What’s more, each plate has 4 corner holes that allow to sink magnets which match to holes on the tray.  This will assure nothing gets bumped or comes out of the tray.  (The bar lying in front allows to join the tray together so it can be printed on 8×8 inch printers.  Each end of the bar has a “tooth” that fits in the rectangle slit located on the bottom of the tray.).

Predictions are being made by backers that the 2nd Stretch Goal will be reached before August 20th.  If you’re interested in joining the Crew and backing to receive the huge bundle, head here to the Kickstarter page. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/simplepolytrix/the-wargaming-terrain-collection-stl-files-for-3d
