You may have seen the SLA Industries Logo, perhaps you’ve seen the odd image of the Iconic Halloween Jack.. you may even be one of the thousands of fans whom have loved this dark and gritty yet glitzy and glamorous setting since the early 90’s..

There is no doubt that when the original SLA RPG was released back in 1993 it was years ahead of its time – the art, the content, the highly detailed setting of the World of Progress were incredibly popular back in the day. Many gamers still have a beloved copy of the RPG on the shelf (admittedly.. probably in a ring binder as the first print had binding issues..) to this day. Those whom know SLA and have experience of it generally hold it in high esteem.

The RPG was, unfortunately, out of print since the early Noughties, but this year – Daruma Productions not only pieced it back together and brought it back into print for the first time over 15 years, but have followed up with a brand new publication – Hunter Sheets 2. These releases, combined with the miniatures from the Cannibal Sector 1 Skirmish wargame, Kickstarter and forthcoming Wargame Release have very firmly brought SLA Industries back into the Spotlight once again.

Its fair to say that if you are a fan of SLA, you probably know it chapter and verse – but if you missed out on the original Publication (and the 90’s really was a heyday for RPG’s) then you’ve possibly not encountered the rich and deliciously dark setting of Mort and the World of Progress and are possibly a bit bemused as to what all of the excitement is about..?
