The 2015 Release of 100 A.D.

Souljar Games has announced a new epic board game in their game line, 100 A.D.

100 A.D. is a large-scale board game set in Ancient Rome and featuring the political corruption of the time. This game is paired with a new Kickstarter, launching in March. The Kickstarter includes stretch goals for more players, better components, and a collector edition of the game.

100 A.D. is a massive undertaking. With nearly 400 cards, the gameplay is immersive and expansive. Players take on the roles of secretive forces manipulating the various factions and senators in an attempt to curry favor with the Emperor and control Rome. But that’s not as easy as it sounds as the game explores the court of Rome from multiple angles, including assassination, corruption, extortion, nepotism, and blackmail, just to name a few.

100 A.D. promises to explore Roman politics in a way modern board games have not seen.
