MORTALS: DESCENT OF THE GODS

PARTIAL ARC LAUNCHES KICKSTARTER FOR BOARD GAME,

MORTALS: DESCENT OF THE GODS

October 2017. Los Angeles.

Partial Arc has just launched their Kickstarter campaign for their first board game, MORTALS: DESCENT OF THE GODS.

The four-year old company foundedby Jay Jones, Niels-Christian Kielland, and Andrew Dickinger is a network for board gaming, roleplaying games, and comics. They provide several weekly podcasts including: Friday Night Quests (Dungeon & Dragons with celebrity guests), Dark Heresy (a Warhammer 40K narrative), 40K Arena (attend a Wych Arena in Commorragh), Roll to Seize (Warhammer 40K players recap their missteps), and Because Comics (comic book storytelling at it’s best). The team is very excited to bring their passion for the fantasy genre to the board game world with MORTALS.

MORTALS is a 2-5 player cooperative battle-arena board game set in a museum in modern times. You and your friends play as Greek, Norse, and Egyptian gods that have been made Mortal by Death himself. Now they live mundane lives; for example, Zeus is an electrician, Poseidon is a beach bum and Freya is a lawyer. But Death hasn’t finished his work… he now sets his sights on humanity and plans to destroy the world. To stop him, our heroes must work together and battle through hordes of monsters such as: Death’s Minions (like ghouls and liches), Mythics (like the Hydra), and Destroyers (like the Kraken).

“Whether you’ve always wanted to explode a Troll with the power of rock music or enjoy the excitement of combat and strategy games (with a hint of humor), we’re confident you’ll find something to love,” said Jones, Kielland, and Dickinger in a statement.
