Myth: Dark Frontier is a co-operative board game designed by Adam & Brady Sadler, who have created such notable games as Warhammer Quest: The Adventure Card Game and The Walking Dead: No Sanctuary. Additionally, the Sadlers also contributed to several best-selling titles, such as Descent: Journeys in the Dark Second Edition, Gears of War, Mansions of Madness, and the X-Wing Miniatures Game.

Myth: Dark Frontier does not require you to own Myth, or the Myth: Journeyman expansions. This is a stand alone cooperative game pitting the heroes against an overwhelming force besieging the massive citadel of Farrenroc. Players will be able to Travel the lands, Quest within a variety of areas, Fortify long forgotten strongholds, Encounter hidden allies and items, and finally Battle the hordes that the Darkness has unleashed. There are many objectives the players must accomplish while a horde of enemies plague the lands. It is imperative for the heroes to form optimal strategies before the people are overcome by Corruption and Despair, and their lands suffer from the Devastation of war. If the heroes fail to complete their objectives, then the enemy boss will awaken and descend upon Farrenroc. Even still there is a glimmer of hope to be found if the heroes can muster the courage to face this monstrosity before it rips the walls of Farrenroc down with its ferocity.

Backers of this project who already own a copy of Myth will be pleased to know that they can easily use all their existing Myth figures in place of the game’s tokens to make the game board look truly dynamic as hordes of minions surround the destructible Farrenroc city miniature. In addition, those backers who pledge at the Farrenroc level will receive all the cards, tokens and miniature for a new Myth hero, the Swordsworn, which is also playable as an additional hero in Myth: Dark Frontier.
