KICKSTARTER – Thunder Chrome 3 LIVE!

Hello everyone! Here we are with our third Kickstarter project!

Thunder Chrome 3: Highway to Castle Painskull is our latest development in 3D printable scenery. This campaign is to fund a full new range of modular pieces inspired in an Alien/Gothic culture. Based on the tabs/slots system we developed for Thunder Chrome 2, with Castle Painskull we have put at use every piece of knowledge we have gained in our two previous campaigns. We have already sculpted and printed a part of the range but we need your help to complete it and make it truly awesome.

The four M’s

The key to the Thunder Chrome philosophy are the four M’s. The first M is for Modular, and implies that you can combine any floor, roof and wall as you wish depending on your needs. Since there is no need to glue those pieces, you can remix them in different configurations from game to game.

The second M stands for Memorable, as we design our models to be truly unique and to stand out from the plethora of other 3D printable models in the market. As it is our habit, during the campaign a series of Memorable buildings will (hopefully) be unlocked as stretch goals, so be ready for some awesomeness!

The third M means Mad. And we use it to represent our inspiration for each project. We drink from many sources and put it all in every campaign, so expect to find little homages to classics in literature, movies and general culture.

The last M is for Mold-breaker. Our models have some truly unique characteristics. Some of the doors can be opened and some walls can be broken in-game, which means that the gameplay can change accordingly. Imagine you shoot at a wall and for once that wall breaks, leaving exposed the coward hiding behind it!

This time we wanted to go away from the classic looks and we have tried a new style that can be used in several settings, from Warhammer 40K to Star Wars Legions.

In the main pledge there are more than 80 designs (floors, roofs, walls, catwalks, etc.) and we have planned several stretch goals that will add more designs to the range. Here you can see some pictures of the pieces:
