Formula P3 Hobby Blog – Custom Crucible Guard

My name is Jordan, and I am a studio painter here at Privateer Press. This is the first in an article series I’m writing to give you a window into my process in the Formula P3 Studio and show you some things I do for my personal armies.

I plan on making the continued expansion of my Crucible Guard army, which some of you have seen at Lock & Load GameFest this year, my main focus for upcoming articles. With each edition, I will be demonstrating how to create custom bases like the ones you see below, painting weathering and chipping effects on armor, and explaining some techniques we use often on the models here in the studio.

Here is a pair of 75-point lists I am going to be working toward during this project.

I am super excited to get this project on the road and share my progress as I go along. Next time, I will begin with the foundation of the army: bases. In that article, I will walk through how I create the wasteland-style bases you see on the models I have painted so far. These lists may even change to include some new models that I will be painting as part of the article series in the future, so stay tuned to see more!
