Dark Rituals: Malleus Maleficarum will launch on Kickstarter on January 15 at 3pm EST

Dark Rituals: Malleus Maleficarum is a new game by Dark Gate Games Entertainment from the team that brought you The Order of Vampire Hunters.

It is an asymmetric “One vs Many” miniatures board game for 2 to 5 players.  Play as the Heroes and master your newfound magical powers to wield powerful Alchemies to defend your land from the evil horde. Or play as the Witch Master, summoning malevolent disciples and unleashing devastating Plagues upon the world.

Dark Rituals features customizable weapons, a skill development system and NPCs that can be controlled by the Heroes or Possessed by the Witch Master. Players may use dangerous Black Magic spells, highly effective, but with the risk of dangerous consequences for the users.

Alchemy allows the Hero players to create alchemical spells using botanical ingredients which can be gathered on the board during encounters. A skill development system enables the Heroes to become more adept in alchemy the more they practice it.

Witchcraft is the spell casting skill of the Witch Master player. The Witch Master can summon Minions and unique Creatures through the Conjunction and, as their power grows, unleash devastating Plagues. Plague affects the whole board and drains the Heroes’ stamina, reducing their ability to fight back until the Plague is dispelled.

Can you use the magic of Neemoss to defeat the invading horde? Or will you complete your Dark Rituals to summon the ultimate evil?
